Special Event Wristband

The wristband design strikes a balance between staying fun and summery without appearing too elementary. I did this by incorporating a mixed palette of vibrant, summer-inspired colors appealing to both younger and millennial audiences. I used muted versions of classic bright summer colors and adult motifs like martini glasses to achieve a light-hearted yet elegant feel. Together, these factors create a visually engaging and festive design suitable for a lively summer pool party event while still maintaining a mature and inclusive aesthetic.

Final Wristband Design

The Design Process

The Bartram Apartments requested a custom wristband for their summer pool-party themed event, aiming to ensure that it aligned with the community's values and branding. They wanted it to exude a fun summer spirit without appearing overly juvenile.

Font Choices

Newsletter Designs

To create newsletters that balanced sophistication with a happy, welcoming atmosphere, I combined an elegant script font with a playful and clean sans serif. I used repeating circles and curved text to create a welcoming and open atmosphere on the page, while coordinating the colors within the photos with the cool color palette of the Bartram. I used semi-transparent boxes to create a visual separation between different sections of text, and created continuity by having recurring sections appear in each newsletter.

Instagram Stories

In response to the request for sophisticated fall and winter Instagram stories, I created a series of illustrated images that were simple, elegant, and playful- just like the Bartram. I used consistent gradient backgrounds to maintain the colors from the brand guidelines without becoming too repetitive, and used a combination of photos and vector illustrations to give each design a unique feel.
